| I miss Erin. I just got home from the best three days with my best friend. I had sooo much fun! Quick recap:
Day 1: I started drinking as soon as I get off the plane b/c Erin
bought me good Austrian beer, went out to eat and drank more, took
shots of absinthe, went to a kick ass Irish pub, drank lots and lots of
beer and cider, and finally went to sleep among very pleasant company.
Oh snap, I just remembered that I ate shit on a bike. I was drunken
riding down the streets of Graz, hit a curb, and fucking flew across
the sidewalk. Needless to say, I was also in front of Erin and three of
her guy friends... fucking embarassing.
Day 2: I woke up to breakfast and favorable conversation, climbed a
bajillion (yeah that's a word) steps up to this clock-tower-hill-thingy
(that's the English translation):

I saw the entire city of Graz from
above:

We then ate yummy kebabs w/ E-Dub, browsed around the Christmas
shop/stands, drank some yummy Gluwine (I don't know if that's spelled
right, but it's wine w/ sugar, spices, and fruit), and then joined her
at a host-family
meeting (including free beer ). We then
headed back to her dorm, met up with her awesome friends, and proceeded
to laugh for hours, eat copius amounts of chocolate, and forget the
rest of the night. Oh shit, I also just remembered that we also called
Clair! Haha, we saw a recording of that phone convo this morning and
Clair... I'm sorry that you had to decipher our retardedness
Day 3: I woke up from the deadest sleep of my life, walked around Graz w/ Erin a bit, and then jumped on the plane.
I left out a lot of details and I didn't mention her really cool
friends that were super nice to me. I hope to see them again soon. Le
sigh, I had so much freaking fun. It was really sad leaving Erin in
Graz and I was really sad the whole way home. I just had a great time
w/ her and the freaking long flight/bus ride/cab ride home ended up
being one of those reflective times. I'll be done w/ Oxford in... 9
days. Wow. I don't know if I'm ready to leave. Hell, I'll still be in
Europe for another month, but dude. I'm not ready to go back. I wish I
could just go stay with Erin for that month... that'd be fun. Her
experiences are so much different than mine. She's seen so much more
than I've seen. I guess my time will come. Anywho, I had a great time,
greeeeaaaat time. Furthermore, even though I'm not ready to leave here,
I am very ready to see those dear to me.

| "Qui bien aime, tard oublie." I
read this in a newspaper article this morning on the bus back from
London. It means: he who loves truly, forgets not easily. It was found
painted on a mural in William Morris' London Red House underneath wall
panels and paint. Historians don't know whether it was painted by
Morris himself, or by his friend Dante Rosetti, who was tragically
sleeping with his wife.
Regardless of who painted it or
why, the saying has a lot of meaning... And it just meant something to
me. It's true, whether or not you want to, you can't forget loving
someone. Sometimes it would just be so much easier to forget.
On another note, what do you do
when you realize that person was right about you? They predicted the
worst and they were right... Now that I realize, now that I'm aware and
proven wrong, who is there to reassure me? Even if he was just there to
say I told you so, at least he'd be there.

| It is such a pretty day today. I
love how warm my room is in the morning. The sun shines right beside my
bed to wake me up each day. Oh, how I love my home here... Woot, I'm
off to London folks.

| Bluh blag bloop... Well I spent the whole day locked up in my room
writing. Man, I hate writing papers sometimes. I've written two in the
past two days and that just sucks. Oh well, after my tutorial tomorrow
we're all going to London to see Journey's End,
woot! I have no idea what it's about, but I like going on excursions
with our whole group. It's super fun. Ooo, I'm also looking at tickets
for a Man U game right this moment! So hopefully, I'll get to see a
game!!!
In other news, in one week I will be in the glorious land of Austria visiting my beloved, ERIN!
I'm so freaking excited! I'll be there for 3 days of drinking, catching
up, and damn good times. I cannot wait! I've missed her so dearly and
have hardly seen her since... I dunno, it's just been too damn long. Ah, we are going to get so sh-wasted
Anyways, I only have 3 weeks of school left here and then my mom and
aunt will be here! We're going to spend a week in the wine country in
France. Can anyone say winos? Yeah, I cannot wait to get silly drunk w/
mi madre and my baller aunt. And then it's off to backpack on my own!
Wow, that's gonna be some scary ass fun. So far, I've planned to meet
up with another student from here and hopefully with Terryn for New
Years. But I'll basically be on my very own for a whole month in
Europe... I just wish I could decide where to go for Christmas? Any suggestions? Haha, I can't wait to not have to worry about reading, writing, and stupid school.
But really, wow. This whole abroad experience will be over before I
know it. That's crazy weird. Time sure did fly by. Which is a good
thing b/c I did get pretty homesick... But I mean, I still absolutely
love it here. It's like home. I can't wait to get back to all my
friends at Hdx and home, but I'll just really miss everything here...
Ok, well sorry long post... I'm off to bed. I've gotta get up, study,
work out, go to my tutorial, and then I'm off to London! Ah, even
though I'm stressed... I love it here.
